KC Boudoir Workshop
Oct 2016 – 2 day intensive boudoir workshop covering posing, lighting, and editing. Plus a night fashion shoot complete with models, designer fashions, and top MUA’s.
This was such a great workshop with awesome attendees and friends! Many laughs were had by all.
Kicked it off with a Marie Antoinette shoot featuring custom designs by Natlaia Lucia Meyer of Lucia’s Sarto. Hair, makeup and styling by myself.
Next we started with the Bridal Boudoir portion. I taught how to incorporate bridal accessories, posing, and lighting. Model: Justine Kloss, Hair and makeup: Kim Ackerman, gown: Lucia’s Sarto.
Then we took the Bridal theme outside to shoot another gown design by Lucia’s Sarto. Model: McKenzee Leeder.
Next on the list, couples boudoir. In this portions I taught posing, angles, and capturing natural expressions. Models: Max MacDonald and Sidney Billstein.
After the couple segment we shot some ‘dudoir’ with Max, and some fashion with Sidney (in a Lucia’s Sarto design)
After a short break, we went into the Designer Night Fashion Shoot (an added bonus I threw in). All designs by Lucia’s Sarto.
Shoo! That was a very LONG day of hair, makeup, wardrobe, and shooting in Kansas City!! But everyone got a ton of great images.. and lunch on me 😉 So what’s left for the next day?? Concept boudoir and some more fashion.. and an afternoon editing tutorial and curvy girl posing demo.
First we did some fashion shooting with Madelaine, and I explained fashion lighting with the beauty dish (again wearing Lucia’s Sarto)
Next we did some fitness shooting with Sean.
After a quick lunch break and the tutorials, we decide to add ONE last photo shoot! The host (Ken Schmidt) had an awesome rain machine in the studio, so I just HAD to use it.. McKenzie braved the cold water for us.
It was a very jam packed 2 and a half days! (all models, with the exception of McKenzie were provided by Career Images Talent Agency in Kansas City)
